Hi there. My name is Jeff, and I am honored to be one of your hosts here at RT
Let me start with what’s obvious (to me, at least). I don’t have much of a clue. I used to. I used to know a hell of a lot. Now, though, I’d call myself a beginner.
I love to learn. Back in 2008 I completed a two-year certification course in spiritual formation and direction. I am now enrolled in the Living School. I’ve also been drawn to UCSD Extension for almost two decades.
My spiritual roots are Christian and even now I help lead various house churches. I’m not boxed off though. I consider myself ecumenical, meaning that I value, embrace and learn from all Christian denominations. I also consider myself interfaith, meaning that I respect and gain from all traditions. It didn’t used to be this way. I used to know everyone else was wrong. They were “lost”. Then one day after 4 decades of earnest belief, I discovered that I too was lost. This forced my eyes open in a most painful way.
I live in San Diego along with my wife of 20 years. She’s the best kind of fireball, and I wouldn’t be me without her. Many other wonderful folks have influenced me, including Richard Rohr, Eugene Peterson, Arthur Burk, and John Eldredge.
Much peace to you.
